Taking a Leap for Larissa đź’ś
On October 11th, Marie faced one of her biggest fears — jumping out of a plane from around 10,000 feet! She took on this incredible skydiving challenge in memory of her amazing daughter, Larissa, and to raise vital funds for Edward’s Trust.
In the months following Larissa’s passing, Marie searched desperately for help and support. She reached out to many charities for counselling during the most difficult time of her life. When she finally reached the top of the waiting list, Edward’s Trust stepped in — and they have been a lifeline ever since.
Through ongoing counselling, Marie has found the time and space to share her deepest thoughts and emotions. The support she has received has been truly invaluable.
Marie knows that grief is not something you ever “get over.” But every day, she continues to live, carrying Larissa’s love and legacy with her in all she does. Taking on this skydive was her way of giving back and saying thank you to the charity that has helped her find strength and hope.
Edward’s Trust is a West Midlands charity with over 36 years of experience providing free, professional counselling and holistic support for bereaved children, young people, and parents. Their support has no time limits, and they rely entirely on donations to continue their vital work.
Thanks to Marie — and her amazing friends Gemma and Joanne — an incredible £3,225 was raised for Edward’s Trust. Every penny will help other families receive the same life-changing support when they need it most.
💜 A huge well done and thank you to Marie, Gemma, and Joanne for taking a leap of courage and love in Larissa’s memory.
