In January, Larissa’s parents, Marie and Dave, along with their sons Zane and Jax, took part in the heartfelt challenge ‘Jog on January’.
As a family, they walked a total of 35.04 miles, raising an incredible £3,257 in Larissa’s memory. Each day, they completed a mile together, using the time to reflect, share stories, and talk about the special moments they had with Larissa. These daily walks became a meaningful way to stay connected to her and to honour her memory as a family.
On 18th January, which would have been Larissa’s birthday, Marie, Dave, Zane and Jax were joined by more than 200 friends and family members. Together, they walked from the family home to Gornal Wood Crematorium, creating a moving and powerful show of love and support. The walk not only celebrated Larissa’s life but also brought together those who cared for her, providing comfort and unity on a particularly significant day.
This challenge was a testament to the strength and closeness of the family, and the incredible community that continues to rally behind them and The Larissa Foundation.
